My wife and I went to South Africa for a couple of weeks a while back.
Johnny Cash sang about Ireland's 40 shades of green and he was so right. Wonderful people and a beautiful country.

I have been playing guitar since the late 1950s. I started with a 4 string Stella and went from there.
I played with several bands in the 1960s at sock hops and fraternity/sorority parties and went on to play clubs in Atlanta, Florida and the East Coast.
Some of the guys I worked with in the 60s are still playing a few gigs with me.
I began taking pictures about the same time I started playing guitar and have a few pictures in a couple of galleries.
There are a number of travel snapshots on the site and also some of the work I have displayed and sold at galleries and art shows.
I went to Grady High School in Atlanta and graduated from Georgia State College/University.
My wife loves to travel and I love my wife, so I tag along. There are a number of snapshots included on this site. I am not a travel photographer so there are no wonderful images included. There are just the sort of snapshots we all take when we go somewhere and want to remember what it was like.
We went to Cuba on an "educational visit" before Cuba was generally open to the American public.
Cuba has an excellent medical care system and the literacy rate is probably higher than in the United States.
Most of the rest of the world is free to visit Cuba and enjoy the wonderful people, food, old cars that serve as taxis, and the great spirit of the Cuban people. I don't agree with the system of government there but there is a lot about our politics that I am not in agreement with.
